2. What are the screen use guidelines for children from the World Health Organization and American Academy of Pediatrics?

SCREEN USE RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO) and AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS (AAP)

BIRTH – AGE 2

SCREEN USE IS NOT RECOMMENDED (phones, tablets, TV, computers-avoid all)

AGE 2-5 years

NO MORE THAN 1 HOUR A DAY, less is better

After age 2 introduce high quality children’s programming and media; watch with your child, ask them questions and explain what they are seeing.
